Prices
and availability for
Highbridge Cottage and High Bridge
Highbridge
Cottage and High Bridge
are bookable by the week (7 nights) from Saturday 3pm to the next
Saturday at 10 am.
Short
Breaks, typically 3
nights Saturday to Monday, or any other range, may be possible
depending on the state of weekly bookings at that time. They are in any
case made available only one month before the start date.
Short
break prices are usually about half
the weekly price; please contact
us for details.
Please
note that the weekly rates are discounted by 10% if your whole
party travels to and from the cottage by public transport.
The
Highbridge Cottage rates assume a maximum of 4 guests; a fifth person
using the Z-bed is charged at £5 per night. All
the rates
include all fuel
and
bed linen. A cot
and high chair
are available at no charge. Towels are
available on
request. Each pet
is charged at £15 per week. A
non-returnable deposit
of
£100 per week secures the booking; the balance is paid 2
months
before arrival, together with an amount of £100 as
caution
money to cover against breakages and abuse of the cottage.
The
caution money is debited only after the end of the holiday and if
warranted by the state of the cottage.
We
accept
payment by cash, cheque, bank transfer
or credit card. Credit card payments attract a surcharge of
3.5%.
Help
the Ospreys project. The
Cottages are members of Nurture
Lakeland,
which supports
conservation projects throughout Cumbria. As part of our
contribution, we are asking each Cottage visitor to donate £2
(or more) to the Lake District Osprey project when they make a
booking. Such donations are of course completely optional –
and
very much appreciated. We
match
whatever is donated by our guests.
Our
Environmental Commitment
At
Highbridge Cottages we do try to work and live in an
environmentally sustainable way, and we positively encourage our guests
to do the same. We invite you to support us in this aim
during
your stay, by using energy carefully, recycling your rubbish, and
supporting Nurture Lakeland with a small
donation. We also encourage you to avoid using your
car if
possible - there is plenty to do in this area without the need to
travel far! As an incentive, the weekly rates for the
cottages
are discounted
by 10% if you
travel to and from the cottage by public transport.
By
all ‘doing our bit’ we can really help conserve the
landscape and
environment of Cumbria
and beyond!
Thank
you.
