High Bridge has been available to
let as self-catering accommodation since 2004, and was soon awarded an
English Tourism Council 4-star rating. In the words of the ETC, this
signifies:

The self-catering holiday cottage
has gas
central heating,
and also has marvellous views of the northern fells across the village
roof-tops.
The cottage
sleeps
6 people,

with colour TV, video recorder, CD player/radio - and great views

with mahogany dining table and french window access to the yard at the
side of the building, which is secure for dogs

kitchen
with electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator/freezer,
dishwasher, coffee maker and a clothes washing machine
-
two
twin
bedrooms,
one with large bunk beds

a large
bathroom
with bath, separate shower, handbasin, and W.C.
-
a separate
shower
room,
with power shower and wash basin
-
a separate
W.C.
with handbasin
-
a large walk-in
drying
cupboard
with powerful electric radiator.
A
cot
and high chair
are available.

To the side of the cottage is a
yard facing east and south, with chairs and a garden table; the whole
yard area is secure for dogs. There is off-road
parking
space
for one car at the side of the building, with plenty more available
within 100 yards.
Braithwaite is a "dog-friendly"
village - as long as you clean up after you!
Dogs
are most welcome at the cottage, and they usually have a marvellous
time, both in the village and on the surrounding fells.
The cottage is a
no-smoking
area.
