Taken from Hause Gate: Derwentwater, Keswick and Blencathra under about six inches of snow, just after Christmas 2000 - and in mid-summer on a hazy day.
The same view at different times of the year -
the colours change just about every day, which makes this one of
my favourite places. The last set of pictures were taken lower
down, on the path running the length of Catbells above the tarmac road.
Taken from Hause Gate, but looking west into Newlands. Little Town is down the track and round to the left. Ard Crags is straight ahead, in front of Sail.
And this is the view south-east, down into Borrowdale from near Hause Gate. Grange is in the centre of the picture, with Castle Crag just behind the village to the right. You can see the path up Maiden Moor on the right of the picture.
