Lake District walks - Dock Tarn

This is the view down to Watendlath Tarn from the point where the path up to Dock Tarn from Watendlath meets the path from Rosthwaite on the left.

These are the woods above Stonethwaite

After coming out of the woods, you meet the path (on the right between the stone walls) from Rosthwaite and Stonethwaite up to Eagle Crag, the fell in the middle of the picture. Further up the valley on the left, the path forks: the right hand path ascends Langstrath up to the Langdale Pikes, the left hand one goes straight up the valley to High Raise - or you can swing left near the top over Greenup Edge, the flat ridge in the picture, to walk down Easedale and drop into Grasmere (see Linear walk no. 8)
