From near the top of Dale Head looking down Newlands towards Skiddaw.
In this one you also get a good impression of the length of Causey Pike and Rowling End, on the left.
Here we are looking south from Dale Head, into the, er, sun. The valley cutting up the middle of the picture is Grains Gill, leading up to Great End and the Scafell range. The Langdale Pikes are straight ahead on the horizon.
Here is Dale Head Tarn, seen from half way up the steep path to the summit of Dale Head. The picture was taken on a warm day in March 2003, and that is a youngster without any shirt on. Our two dogs, on the left, were certainly sweating a bit!
