Highbridge Cottage forms the middle of a terrace overlooking Coledale Beck. The cottage windows are the four to the right of the door in the middle of the terrace. The left-hand end of the terrace is High Bridge, our other cottage. Beyond the building you can see Braithwaite Common, a great place to exercise your dog in the morning.
Here is another view of the cottage, from across the beck.
Some pictures of the cottage interior, which was thoroughly re-furbished and re-decorated in 2000.
First, the main bedroom, which looks out over the beck.
In case you're wondering, the Whinlatter road on the other side of the beck is delightfully narrow, and has very little traffic - at least, very little which can be heard over the burble of the beck.
This is the second bedroom................................and here is the kitchen/dining room
And this is the living room. The settee takes five very easily. Behind the settee is the hatch to the kitchen - and a rather unusual standard lamp.
